A wild gamer girl appears...

Welcome to the blog!

I'm a 31 year-old gamer girl, and I decided to start a blog about gaming, because I'm currently playing Alan Wake, and it is pissing me off.

I am by no means an expert gamer.  Realistically, I'm somewhere between casual gamer and gaming-is-my-life.

I suck at first person shooters, though I wish I didn't.  I'm also an inverted player.  Don't like it?  Then, you can suck my left nut.  Honey badger don't give a fuck if you like the way I play my games.

My first gaming system was an Atari, and I played Space Invaders and Galaga.  Frogger and Pong were my mortal enemies.

I got my first Nintendo when I was 6.
My favorite NES games include Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Brothers 3, TMNT, Kid Icarus, Castlevania.

I graduated to SNES when it came on the scene.  Mario Kart and Legend of Zelda were the ones I played the most.

I skipped N64 and Gamecube and went for a PlayStation.  I hate FF7.  I loved Spyro and Parasite Eve.

PS 2 introduced me to the Katamari and burnout franchises.  Then came Guitar Hero.

The Wii brought with it a renewed obsession for gaming.  Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was beautiful and fun; My obsession with Guitar Hero grew with GH 3; Mario Kart Wii was nostalgic and continues to be one of my favorite games.

PS 3 turned me on to the Rock Band franchise, God of War, Warlord, Little Big Planet and Lollipop Chainsaw.

Then, I discovered XBox 360.  Oh, XBox 360 could quite possibly be the love of my life.  I was a late bloomer when it came to XBox, but I'm hooked.  My test XBox game way Alice: Madness Returns.  I loved the first Alice Game by American McGee, and I knew I'd love the long awaited sequel.  Then, I picked up Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.  Then, came Kinect and with it, Dance Central.  That's certainly not all, and I am gradually working my way through my collection.

I also play a Pathfinder tabletop game and dabble in Magic the Gathering.
